About NeQu

Dear learner,

I'm Harris Khawaja, DO, a practicing neonatologist and the creator of NeQu. I'm a young attending just a few years out of fellowship, but I remember while I was in fellowship I was constantly looking for better ways to test myself and reinforce what I was learning.

While there were great textbooks, landmark review articles, and some educational resources available, I found there was a surprising lack of neonatal-specific question banks and interactive learning tools. Many of the resources I used felt outdated, or focused primarily on memorization. I wanted a resource that would challenge me to think through physiology, clinical decision-making, and the "why" behind neonatal medicine.

When I couldn't find it, I decided to build it. NeQu was created to help learners develop deeper clinical reasoning. Every question is designed to teach a concept, highlight important physiology, and reflect the complexity of real-world neonatal practice.

Whether you're a resident exploring neonatology, a fellow preparing for boards, or an experienced provider looking to sharpen your knowledge, my goal remains the same: to create the kind of resource I wish I had throughout my own training.
